Awesome Greek Satirical Poster Series

Polka dot is a creative studio founded by Nearchos Ntaskas and Clair Georgelli in 2008 located in Acropolis, Athens. There are few times when a designer has the opportunity to make a political comment through his work.
The theme for the carnival of Xanthi 2011 is ‘International Monetary Craze’ inspired by the economic crisis in Greece and the involvement of ‘IMF’. This enabled polka dot to carve their memory and retrieve the popular phrases of the past filled with wisdom even describe the current economic situation. Karagiozis or Karaghiozis a shadow puppet and fictional character of Greek, the main character of the tales narrated in the Turkish and Greek shadow-puppet theatre, full of wisdom, humour and prophetically, inspired them.
Enjoy!
