Explore your own creativity with fine art photographer Brooke Shaden’s techniques
BURLINGTON, Mass. – Aug. 26, 2013–Focal Press, a leading publisher of media technology books, has announced the availability of fine art photographer and popular blogger Brooke Shaden’s new book, “Inspiration in Photography.” The book is currently available for pre-order and will be on shelves on Sept.11.
Shaden—one of the most recognized names in modern art photography—reveals techniques and exercises that you can use to be inspired by your environment, every day, everywhere. In addition to the exercises, you’ll learn how to compose, plan and shoot colorful, atmospheric, fairy-tale artistic photography, so you can adapt Shaden’s techniques and apply them to your own photographic style.
“Indeed, all artistic photographers seek to achieve their own style, but it’s not always easy to see how to get there,” Shadensaid.“This book provides the perfect balance of insight and instruction to help you find inspiration whenever you need it, and capitalize on it every time.”
Shaden’s book offers a plethora of gorgeous imagery as well as case studies of other photographers showcasing a variety of styles. This book appeals to Adobe Photoshop pros as well as amateur photographers looking to diversify their portfolio.
“Of all the amazing things that photography can do, it all means nothing without inspiration,” she said. “I believe that everyone can find inspiration if they open themselves up to it. And I believe in the power of imagination and in using that imagination to create works of art.”
Shadenblogs regularly, hosts photography workshops across the country, and offers inspirational and instructional videos on her You Tube channel. Her work was recently chosen by Ron Howard as inspiration for a short film in Canon’s Imagin8tion competition.
