Τhe 4th Shenzhen International Poster Festival, 2020

This year, the theme of the 4th Shenzhen International Poster Festival is “Design and Connection”.

Internet technology has made the world more connected than ever before, and make Design Changes Future more“within reach”as well. The emergence of new media, such as digital media posters, enables the transmission of information through the electronic screen and provides people to obtain more information methods and visual experience.

In 2020, Shenzhen International Poster Festival will add the categories “100 Best HANZI Posters” and “Motion Poster”, which will connect traditional paper posters with digital motion design in the exhibition, to bring more possibilities to explore how graphic design affects life.

“Design and Connection – Shenzhen International Poster Festival 2020” is now open for submission! Designers from all over the world are welcome to join us.

E  Special Theme: Symbol of City. Cities are partial and fragmented in people’s memory or impression. This project takes “city” as the medium of expression. The designer, as an urban participant, records the unique symbols of the city in the form of visual posters and ponders on the construction of cultural identity in urban development.

F  100 Best HANZI Posters. We encourage creative exploration and diversified works of HANZI (Chinese characters) in the field of graphic design. The international jury will select the 100 most beautiful HANZI (Chinese characters) posters.

G  Motion Poster. All types of posters with Motion Graphics technique.

Maria Papaefstathiou

VISUAL DESIGNER since 1996 and blogger since 2010. Living in Athens, Greece. She has been focusing her research on poster design and particularly on social poster design and portrait design. Her main poster project is a series of posters celebrating great personalities of traditional and popular culture in Greece and Jamaica.
