LGBTQ Project
The LGBTQ Community is consisted from young men and women with different sexual orientation.
As designers, Katerina Miliaraki and Marianna Pefani participated on the Young Lions Competition Greece from their branding. They won the 1st prize of the category and also the 3rd merit of the same category for our second proposal.
Free-hand sketched lines and use of a fresh and irregular font to indicate the young and modern character of the community. Intense and happy colours but at the same time elegant and suitable. The purpose was to remind of the rainbow flag but be different from it and the other relative logos.
The logos must be categorized in the 4 different coloured categories of the community (Gay, Lesbians, Trans, Bi)
Being different is a choice.
City branding for Cannes, FR.
The brief for Young Lions Cannes 2015 was to design a visual identity for the city of Cannes.
The identity had many applications, from logo design to application design for the visitors of the city. The main request was to highlight the cosmopolitan aspect of the city along with the traditional, Mediterranean elements.
Cannes is a “worldwide village”.
The identity Katerina Miliaraki and Marianna Pefani designed is based on the top view of the port of the city, mixed with warm colours and lined icons inspired by Mediterranean nature in order to create a contemporary style that includes traditional elements.
