Luca Di Battista is an italian illustrator based in Berlin since 2012. In 2010 he gratuated in History at Ud’A (D’Annunzio University – Chieti) and then got a master in Creative & Multimedia Design. While he was in Italy Luca worked in some communication agencies as a graphic designer. Now he is a freelancer that split his works between graphic designer and illustrator although he hopes to increase his assignments as an illustrator.
With a friend of his, (Antonio Secondo – writer), Luca Di Battista started a close collaboration that gave birth the first of five (or seven) illustrated tales.
The first one named “La Montagna Nera” (The Black Mountain) won the “Pescara Behance Review” in November 2014 and earned Wacom Gallery featured on Behance.
All the project is based on the mix between superstitions, myths and legends from Peligna Valley (Abruzzo).
Now Luca is working on the second tale story “The Poor Bastards” that will be ready in the Spring.
