Creating an eye-catching packaging design is a real challenge. Now more than ever, packaging design matters. I have witnessed to that personally, recently I observe the designs below on the super market shelves. I felt excited with the direction in which “Life” juices decided to take a contemporary approach to the industry. This contemporary approach became a big success in the capable hands of talented Greek graphic designer George Probonas and his amazing illustrations!
“In line with the strategy requirement for shelf standout by using fresh visual codes for the range of juices, the illustrations depict stories inspired by the flavour, colour and character of each fruit. The illustrations are designed to stimulate the consumer’s imagination, while at the same time giving a feeling of familiarity and nostalgia. GEORGE PROBONAS
Graphic designer, illustrator and art director George Probonas is based in Athens, Greece.
He has studied graphic design and painting at VAKALO Art and Design School.
He has worked in some of the leading advertising agencies in Greece, ΒBDO ATHENS, FORTUNE and CREAM for numerous local and international clients including RENAULT, PEPSICO, PIZZA HUT, NATIONAL BANK of GREECE, METAXA, CITROËN, SIEMENS, YAMAHA, VIVARTIA, CUTTY SARK WHISKY, HELLAS ON LINE.
His work has received distinction at the Cannes Lions Festival and has been awarded many times at the Ermis Awards.
