“Design creates culture. Culture shapes values. Values determine the future ~ Robert Peters”

In the wake of the 1st successful Visual Communication Designers’ Meeting, we continue actively for achieving the objectives and the goals that we set from the beginning by organising the Graphic Stories Cyprus 2016.

The Graphic Stories Cyprus aims at cultivating an artistic education and in the development of critical awareness about contemporary graphic arts and other related issues on local and international level. It also aims to promote and make people aware of the Cyprus visual communication and creativity in Cyprus and abroad and encourage the network with foreign cultural institutions, bodies and art groups. The Graphic Stories Cyprus aspires to become an annual occasion for interaction between Cypriot and foreign designers and also a reference point in the field of visual communication in Cyprus and in the broader region of the eastern Mediterranean. Exhibitions, conferences and workshops are held to demonstrate and promote the value of visual communication to the public and its interface with what is happening in the society. Furthermore, the implementation of the above actions aims on cultivating professional empathy between the visual communication designers in Cyprus and on contributing in the creation of culture and values.

The idea of organizing a meeting of Visual Communication Designers in Cyprus, under the name of “Graphic Stories Cyprus” continues for by renewing the appointment of creative professionals for three days (26 to 28 February 2016).
