Greek Designers that Make us Proud!

Greece is widely known for its ancient and contemporary art and culture. The country of bright shining sun is increasingly becoming an international inspiration to all kinds of fields of art, such as illustration, photography, motion design, graphic design, packaging, branding, book, comic, poster design, etc… Greek design portrays creativity, diversity, modernity, and humour!
Greek talents are plenty, and they are spread amongst well known famous artists and other less known but widely talented, which makes it impossible for me, to share all of them with you. So to all those talents that weren’t added to my small collection, I ask you to forgive me for not showing more… But please Google Greek designers, artists, illustrators to find more… Thank you!

This is the seventh of a series of mosaic illustrations based on the great tradition of Azulejos. This 5 centuries old form of tile painting art is a typical part of Portugues (Spanish and Latin) tradition. I am experiment with these treasures for long time. This is one of the first artworks based on the studies. A portrait of Cristiano Ronaldo, probably the biggest popular hero of contemporary Portugal and one of my favorite athletes. This guys is not just an incredible soccer player. He's is much more than this. He's an artist, a show man, a working class hero, a role model, a hard working entrepreneur...

VISUAL DESIGNER since 1996 and blogger since 2010. Living in Athens, Greece. She has been focusing her research on poster design and particularly on social poster design and portrait design. Her main poster project is a series of posters celebrating great personalities of traditional and popular culture in Greece and Jamaica.
