How would you imagine the Energy?

The Luminarium presents the14th exhibit. One of their biggest-an exhibit artists have attacked with energy. Sound, movement, and life, they all have one thing in common…energy. Energy can be found in some of the strangest and subtle forms, from right here on our very own planet to the deep areas of space. Energy is everywhere. We may not always be looking for it or see it with our eyes, but hidden beneath what we cannot see is something powerful and once it takes over you, there’s no stopping it. It’s up to you to harness that energy and use it.

Pieces of Heaven By: Genesis

This is one of those pieces that just pours out of you, and I think that adds to the theme of the exhibition because not only does this piece represent energy in terms of content, it represents it in form. As for the title, I’ve been thinking lately that this type of “abstract” art challenges the idea of what is abstract and what isn’t. Abstract art is really about the distortion of nature and I don’t think I achieve exactly that with this style of art. However, what this style offers is a chance to look at something that has never been seen in real life, yet isn’t too far off from reality. That was the motivation behind this title.

Climate Capsules By: priteeboy

Originally set up to create a miniature sun in one capsule, this experiment had neighbouring capsules added to it and eventually became more about the aesthetics of weather phenomenon and likely would be found in places like interactive museums of science and technology. The sun is still the biggest energy user though but outputs enough to run its neighbours, like how the weather works for real.
