Geir Tønnessen is a photographer based in Oslo, Norway. Geir loves simple compositions that speak lively. Both his nature photos as much as his abstracts are clean lines, vigorously or not, according to the theme and the message to convey. We can see amazing contradictions to his photos. His nature talks mostly about loneliness, while his abstracts are strong compositions of colors and shapes, very alive.

Geir Tønnessen has been shooting very actively the last 10 years. He takes pictures both analog and digital. Sees photography as an art work but he also does professional studio shooting. When it comes to inspiration he tries to be original and creative, looks like his goal is that people should think his work is kind of weird.
The last couple of years he has participated in galleries in Norway, such as Preus Museum, Galleri MAP and Galleri Cyan.
