mimicocodesign is a workshop of ideas, graphic design experimentation and visual communications. mimi & coco are a creative couple, or rather, they are a complementary pairing and it is the interaction between these two opposite poles on which all their work depends.
Mimi & Coco have sat at the same table for 10 years, blending their ideas in the rustic surroundings of the historical town of Follina in the Venetian hills, a setting that has allowed them to conjure up a great many ideas and build rapport with the people.
Mimicoco’s work is characterised by observation, manual creativity and experimentation. Design, graphics and illustration blend together with subtleness and irony on a pathway that contemplates the possibility of applying this language to the different requirements of the visual panorama.
mimicocodesign projects have been published in B-Guided Barcelona, The Creator Studio Torraspapel, Aiapzine, Creatividad Etica Argentina, Annual Graphic Design of Gmk Istambul, ItaliaGrafica, Elle Decor, Ottagono, Instyle and AWDA among others.
But… who are Mimi and Coco?
mimi & coco are Alex Natali and Federica Lasi, superior vocational training in fine graphic arts and decorative painting and a degree in graphic design and visual communications at Urbino’s ISIA University. They are Senior Professional members of AIAP – Italian Association of Design for Visual Communication and have been enrolled in BEDA – The Bureau of European Design Associations – since 2010.
