Born in Catanzaro (1962-Italy) where he lives and works, Claudio Parentela is an illustrator, painter, photographer, mail artist, cartoonist, collagist, journalist freelancer. Active since many years in the international contemporary art scene, he has collaborated with many magazines (printed or web) of contemporary art, of literary and of comics in Italy and in the world. His obscure and crazy artworks were present & shown in many exhibitions around the world as well and gained a lot of publicity through them. He has collaborated and he collaborates with many bands of industrial music, noise, experimental & electronic, harsh & death, metal etc. He has also illustrated poems and stories.
