Graphic Designer and Illustrator MARTYNA WÓJCIK-ŚMIERSKA was born in 1985 in Poland. She is a graduate of the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun, Faculty of Fine Arts with a specialization in graphic design. She lives and works in Warsaw with a variety of international clients such as Anorak (UK), Le Particulier (FR), Computer Arts (UK), Bulletin (UK), Bloomberg Businessweek (PL), La Rivista, Wysokie Obcasy, Pani, Twój Styl.
Wójcik-Śmierska’s portfolio includes a wide range of posters, covers, prints and illustrations for books and newspapers. Her work has been published in numerous of magazines and websites, Wrap, IDN, Design & Paper, Illustration Friday, Ape on the Moon, Inspiration Grid, Behance, Pie Magazine, Tumblr, Picame, The Re:art, to name few.
Wójcik-Śmierska’s illustrations have a screen print look. With the rough texture and color she uses, combining simple forms and shapes, Martyna creates interesting depth and detail. What drew my attention to her work was her technique but also the humoristic way of approaching her subjects.
