John Holcroft‘s illustrations will impress you not only because of the perfection of his technique, his great skills and amazing detailed work. He will inspire you with the sardonic and intelligent way his conveys his messages on many social issues.
John Holcroft spent most of his childhood drawing, painting and making stuff from what ever he could find. During his college years I became a fan of artists like David Cutter, Ian Pollock and Edward Hopper.
After 5 years of painting all his work on canvass paper, in 2001 John started to familiarise himself with technology and start executing his artwork using a Wacom tablet and Corel Painter. Since then John Holcroft have reinvented his style about 5 or 6 times. It was in 2009 that he decided to create a sustainable style with a little more longevity.
Some of John Holcroft’s clients include, BBC, TUC, Reader’s Digest, Financial Times, Walker books, The Guardian, The Economist, Haymarket, conde nast, TES, Experian, Informa and many more.
