Okyere-Afoakwah Charles is a 26 years old graphic designer, animator and digital artist from Ghana. He loves creating digital illustrations or paintings generally inspired by his country, its surroundings and life. Minimalist artworks or complex ones is another way for Charles to communicate with the world ideas and concepts to provoke thoughts and discussions. His goal is to create a portfolio of beautiful artworks that will not be monotonous by mixing different styles and approaches that suit the different subjects.
Okyere-Afoakwah Charles participates in the Intl. Reggae Poster Contest every year and his posters always get into the 100 best selection. To my question, what is the reason to participate and what inspires him he said:
Basically what inspires me is the notion behind the contest which is “giving”. I believe us humans we can give in so many ways and this is a platform, through which I can give. I also like that fact that it involves international graphic designers and artists. Thereby, I can share my work with the whole world. One love.
