The Patternity Manifesto

‘BECAUSE A SHARED AWARENESS OF PATTERN HAS THE POWER TO POSITIVELY SHAPE OUR WORLD’

“Patterns are something we come across every day. We wear them, we walk over them, we even eat, drink and think them – we always have and we always will – but it’s unlikely they demand too much of our attention…
At the heart of everything we do at PATTERNITY lies several fundamental thoughts – can the way we look at the smaller details enhance our understanding of the bigger picture? If we visualise the unseen, can it drive forward innovation? Does being more mindful make us happier and healthier? Can challenging our perception of the everyday positively affect the world around us? At PATTERNITY we believe all these things are possible – through a shared engagement and understanding of the patterns that unite us all.”

Patternity hosiery began as an extension of PATTERNITY’s brand philosophy; wearable celebrations of the patterns that surround us everywhere we go. Hand screen printed in London, their limited edition bold geometric prints on nude have attracted commissions and collaborations from designers, hosiery specialists and institutions alike including Craig Lawrence, Pretty Polly and The Barbican.

Inspired by the Nepalese Flag and a nod to the iconic rooftop architecture where the rugs are hung out to dry. The rugs are made by employees of the Kumbeshwar Technical School, a founding member of Fair Trade Nepal.
