Dark Mood Series | Photoshop Manipulations Create Wonderful Artworks

The artistic expression of the Dark Mood series were created between 1999 and 2004 by artist Michael Thompson aka Freestylee, since then some of the prints have been in both personal collections and exhibitions in Easton PA and New York galleries. This set of digital art or what he calls pixel art were created on the computer using scanned textures and drawings which are then layered in Photoshop to create these unique art. Limited edition Gliclee prints are produced of about 200 prints each. The term “Giclee print” connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper. The Giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction. The prints are produced on Archie archive quality paper.
